The Pacifica High School Science Department is excited by the growing recognition, nation-wide, that STEM (Science,Technology, Engineering and Math) education is of vital importance. Job market projections show STEM-related careers outpacing other fields in both number of jobs and earnings. It is our goal to offer students at Pacifica the opportunity to explore the core sciences of Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry and Physics while developing the critical skills of communication, collaboration, inquiry and problem solving.

We offer both college prep and Advanced Placement courses to serve the needs of all of our students. Additionally we offer courses in Earth Science and Anatomy/Physiology. Finally we are dedicated to aligning our curriculum with the Next Generation Science Standards, which truly embrace the idea that success is driven not only by what our students know, but by what they can do with what they know.
